Man-made Landscape

Man-made Landscape is an area established in order to protect the biodiversity of an inhabited area of water or land whose landscape and natural features have been shaped over time by human activities in harmony with nature and which present outstanding intrinsic qualities whose conservation greatly depends on pursuing the practices at its origin.

Nature reserves

A Nature Reserve is a protection status that recognizes an owner’s willingness to dedicate their land to conservation. More specifically, it is a private property that has ecological features of interest for conservation and is legally recognized by Québec’s ministre de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques.
